How to Adjust Hydraulic Pump Pressure?

How to adjust hydraulic pump pressure:

Hydraulic pumps are an important part of any hydraulic system. It is responsible for converting energy into the system by attracting and pushing hydraulic oil to the working parts. Therefore, in order for the system to operate stably with the allowable pressure and flow, it is necessary to know how to adjust the pressure of the hydraulic pump so that work is not interrupted.

To adjust the hydraulic pump pressure, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Connect the pump to the engine:

Install the pump so that the motor pulls the pump test station, check the pump clutch strength, align the shaft, motor frame, pump bracket, install the suction filter in accordance with the pump flow. Pump flow (amount of oil passing through the filter, inner diameter of the suction pipe with oil flow of 1-3 m/s) check the tightness of the suction pipe. Install the pump hose (preferably a flexible flow hose with a speed of about 15 m/s and a pressure equal to 1.3-1.5 of the pump's maximum pressure, if the length is at least 1.5 m ).

Step 2: Open the valve

At the end of the installation phase, we open the hydraulic pump intake valve and push it freely into the tank. After waiting a few seconds, we completely release the pressure regulating valve spring counterclockwise. The valve then closes, causing an electrical build-up. In this case, the oil passing through the pump is compressed mainly through the pressure control valve.

Step 3: Adjust the pressure regulator valve

Next, turn the pressure regulator clockwise with a screwdriver. At this point we have adjusted the compression of the spring. When adjusting the valve, pay attention to the pressure gauge readings.

Step 4: Check pressure

To check whether the pump has reached its maximum pressure, it is enough to adjust it to the working pressure according to the level of the pump. When adjusting and monitoring the pressure gauge, adjust it upward when it reaches maximum pressure and then stop. Open the valve after about 3-5 seconds to let the pump flow into the tank to avoid damaging the pump.

Step 5: Check the system

After adjusting the pressure for the first time, we stop applying oil and check the system again. Adjust the compression spring back to normal by loosening the pressure regulator's adjusting screw. Open the valve to restart the pump. Then repeat the previous steps 2 more times.

Note: If you are adjusting the hydraulic system pressure, the screw must be locked and secured with a nut after adjusting the pressure. Make sure the pressure control valves are not damaged by external influences.
